Imagine this: living in a very VERY small room with two other people. Having to co-exist and share your personal space 24/7. Being so incredibly close to those people that you can feel them breathing warmly down your neck. Well, this is actually a real thing. Welcome to what Res-Life likes to call a “converted triple”...DUN DUN DUN!
But don’t worry, this is not the end of your positive college experience! LUC Cribs talked to some upperclassman who survived the converted triple with these space saving tips!
Here are ways that you can save space and maximize your living experience in your converted triple:
1. Since you may have to share a wardrobe with one of your roomates, you can semi loft your bed and put a bin or two underneath with sweaters and sweatshirts in it! Filling storage bins with clothes or food above the wardrobe creates even more space for storage.

2. Semi loft or fully loft your bed, and talk to your roommates about lofting the additional bed. This makes available space under the beds for a desk, wardrobe, or somewhere to hang a shoe rack.

3. Bring clothes for that specific season and switch them out during breaks. You could also throw the clothes of the opposite season in garbage bags and put them on top of your wardrobe.

4. You might be placed with another student who you did not originally pick to live with so make time for a roommate bonding night! Grab dinner, stay in and watch a movie, or go explore downtown…It’ll bring the three of you closer together and mend some of the awkwardness that might come with sharing a small space.

It would really suck to live in a converted triple
